We kicked off the first quarter of the year with some great new features and software enhancements — giving CartonCloud customers more growth and flexibility. In case you missed any new feature updates this quarter, we’ve rounded up our top new features from Jan-March 2024 here. Let’s jump in!
Jan-March 2024 New Features Quarterly Update
- Self-Service Integrations / Xero
- Purchase Order History Improvements
- Unallocate Stock from Sale Orders
- Simplified process for International Shipping Zones
- Updated in-app naming (for menu items, pick lists and packing slips)
Xero Self-Managed Integrations
Connect your accounting software in a heartbeat! We’ve made it faster and easier to set up Integrations with CartonCloud.
Our newly released Self-Managed Integrations function allows you to add and manage your own customer integrations directly from your CartonCloud Dashboard. We also adjusted the Self-Managed Integrations Dashboard to give you enhanced visibility over your customers’ active Self-managed integrations — so you can track all self-managed integrations by customer.
The first of our Self-Managed Integrations is our CartonCloud Xero Invoices to Sales Orders feature, which allows you to import Xero Invoices into CartonCloud as Sales Orders through the Self-Managed Integrations Feature.
During set up, you can select from a range of integration configurations, including;
- 🏘️ multi-warehouse mapping,
- 🙈 the ability to ‘ignore’ certain invoices from the interaction
- 💫 and set configurations to integrate the invoices you want as warehouse sale orders.
What’s more, you can connect your Xero Account in 5 simple steps!
Step 1 - Click on the ‘More’ menu and select integrations
Step 2 - Navigate to the customer name and select the Xero connector & Select Configure
Step 3 - Name your Integration
Step 4 - Connect the App you wish to Integrate with
Step 5 - Configure your integration preferences & Click Finish!
You can configure the integration yourself, or have your customer set it up from their own CartonCloud login (giving you both greater security as your customer doesn’t have to share their Xero login details with you). Visit CartonCloud Help for more information on how your customer can set up their own integrations into your CartonCloud account.
Purchase Order History now includes Add and/or Remove Product Activity
You can now review historic logs covering when products are removed from or added to your purchase orders. This will give you greater transparency in your inventory management processes and ensure you have a comprehensive view of all changes made to your orders.
In February, we enhanced the CartonCloud Purchase Order History functionality to provide greater transparency of edits to purchase order items, introducing a "Show Product Creations/Removals" checkbox, allowing you to toggle the visibility of these History entries.
For more information visit our Purchase Order Knowledge Base Page.
Ability to 'Unallocate' Stock from Sale Order Product lines
You can now unallocate stock from unpacked Sales Order Product (SOP) lines, allowing you to remove the stock from the Sales Order and return the stock back into the system — without affecting the requested quantity of the order.
Use this enhanced control to prioritize orders, or to consolidate stock from partially fulfillable orders to orders that are able to be fulfilled completely.
Where can I access this feature? To use this feature, as an Admin or Packer, simply head to the Products tab of your Sale Order, and click the 'Unassign' button. Depending on the row you click, all Sale Order Products under that Product will be unassigned, or, only that particular Sale Order Product will be unassigned (removing it from the Sales Order). Note, these buttons aren’t available past the Awaiting Pick and Pack status.

Simplified process for International Shipping Zones
This quarter, we've simplified how you can manage international locations within your Transport Zone Set and Transport Lane rules in CartonCloud.
Start shipping to a new country with ease! With our International Shipping enhancement this quarter, you can easily include countries with just one entry, with just the Zone & Country populated, without requiring additional information, down to suburb level.
If no other match is found within the specified Transport Lane, the zone determination will still fall back and match based on the country.
This means less hassle and more efficiency in getting global shipments up and running, without configuring complex Zone Sets and Transport Lanes.

Updates to Menu and File Names in CartonCloud Dashboard
This month, we’ve made some updates to select menu item and file names for increased clarity for users; inlcuding the following menu item naming;
- Integrations will now be called “Self-Managed Integrations” in the More menu. (You are still able to simply search ‘Integrations’ in Search for Anything to bring this dashboard up.)
- Bolt Execution Logs will now simply be called “Bolt Logs”.
- Parse File has been updated to “Parse a File”.
- Remote Print Jobs has been updated to “Print Log”.
- And finally the Parsing Log has been updated to “Import Log”. This better reflects the actual use of this log as we all have other methods such as API going through this log.
- In addition to the menu options changing names, we have also updated the Site Map to reflect the changes.
We have also updated pack list and delivery note file names;
- "Packlist" to "Pick List" and
- "Delivery Note" to "Packing Slip"
This update is part of our ongoing efforts to make our platform as user-friendly and efficient as possible, and these names are in line with what these documents are more commonly known as and used for. Rest assured, this will not affect the functionality of these features!
