Who runs the world? 💁🏽♀️ Join CartonCloud as we celebrate women in tech and logistics this International Women’s Day 2024, recognizing the immense contributions of women across logistics, the supply chain, and the technology industry.
In the ever-evolving tech industry, keeping up with trends can be tricky and time-consuming. Our team shares their top hacks for staying on top of industry trends and getting the most value from embracing new technology.
This International Women’s Day, we’re shining a light on the women who transform our industry from the inside out — taking you inside our most recent CartonCloud Women in Tech events.
🙌🏾 Our team shares their top hacks for staying on top of tech trends, some AI favorites, and tips for embracing new technologies in the workplace.
“I love seeing people walk away from these events with a toolbox full of tools that they may not have encountered otherwise and watching them apply them in their daily lives,” said Karin Laner, CartonCloud Engineering Manager in Technology R&D and CartonCloud Women in Tech event organizer.
“It has been great to watch someone come back from our first (AI-focussed) event and become an evangelist for various AI tools after having had limited exposure previously.”
The event brings our global team together, with attendees joining from four time zones across North America, Australia, and the Pacific. Good morning, afternoon, and evening—let’s go!
Last event, the team dove into generative AI tool usage, exploring everything from customized Google maps to using ChatGPT to make inventive (and sometimes questionable) recipes with random fridge food to deep AI data analysis for business intelligence and trends watches.
This month, we explored the latest trends from Manifest Future of Supply Chain and Logistics, with niche and wider applications for tech innovation. We also looked at our own tips and hacks for keeping up to date with current trends and innovations and tips on adopting new technology.
💙 Embracing New Technology and Trends
With more technology, connectedness, and access to niche solutions than ever before, it can be hard to filter through the mass of options to find the right solution for your needs.
In our recent CartonCloud Women in Tech event, we explored which emerging tech trends we love and which to avoid, as well as ideas and tips on embracing new trends and tools in work and home life.
The CC Women in Tech event is an opportunity to share and explore new technology, new approaches to problem-solving and project planning, and shine a spotlight on the Women in Tech community that has been traditionally underrepresented in the tech industry.
“We had gone from one or two —to around 20 —women in tech at CartonCloud, and the collective knowledge in that diverse group of tech, logistics, financial, marketing, sales, and other expert areas provides an amazing opportunity to gain insights on a wide range of topics and ideas that adds value across all areas of our organization,” Karin explained.
Held every two months, CartonCloud’s Women in Tech team event is an opportunity to share innovative ideas and explore how new tech trends can add value to our industry, customers, and our team.

Celebrating Women in Tech this International Women’s Day
“These events provide a great opportunity to highlight new ways of approaching challenges and offer exposure to new technologies,” Karin said.
“They are also an amazing opportunity to engage in creative thinking away from your regular routine, with input from people across different departments and disciplines.
“For me personally, coming back from maternity leave, this was a passion area I wanted to pursue. I had previously been engaged in organizing trips to conferences, access to training, and other learning opportunities specifically for the women in tech at CartonCloud, and I was keen on picking this up again on my return.
“I was encouraged to explore some opportunities for our global team to engage in a knowledge-sharing opportunity, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
“Apart from sharing valuable knowledge and driving innovation, I see the main benefit as the opportunity to create and strengthen personal connections, with the long-term goal of building a strong community that potentially extends beyond CartonCloud.”
