Introducing Warehouse Premium

We are excited to introduce CartonCloud’s new WMS bundle, Warehouse Premium, a supercharged WMS Package with enhanced features delivering greater customisation, data analysis, security features, and much more.

We will continue to deliver the original CartonCloud plan you know and love as CartonCloud Warehouse Essentials, and most new features and improvements will continue to be made available within Essentials.

🏅Warehouse Premium Features

Replenishments - Pick Smarter, Pick Faster. Set replenishment levels for each product, and keep on top of what needs replenishing. With a range of configurable rules to match your business, the Replenishment add-on takes your warehouse to the next level.

Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboard - CartonCloud BI dashboard enables users to analyse historical data to make better data-led decisions and strengthen customer relationships by providing your clients with insights into their own business.

White Labelling - Provide a seamless brand experience for your customers. With Warehouse Premium, you can access White Labelling, allowing you to customise your CartonCloud account with your own logo and select the background colour (white or blue).

Enterprise Security - Strengthen your security with Single Sign-On (SSO) or Enforced Multi-factor Authentication (MFA). Enterprise Security allows organisations to set up and configure SSO for all users within a particular domain (eg: yourcompany.com), and/or, enforce MFA for user-specific user roles.

Warehouse Specific Rate Cards - Warehouse Specific Rate Cards allow you to assign rate cards per warehouse, per customer. This enables you to manage your operations with greater flexibility and accuracy, ensuring that your pricing structures reflect the unique needs of each warehouse location.

Advanced Documents - coming soon - Deliver high volume, high quality stock images and video to your customers. With Advanced Documents, mobile app users have the ability to attach full resolution images and video to incoming stock reports.

Warehouse POD - Warehouse Proof of Delivery (POD) gives you access to CartonCloud’s sign on glass functionality from the mobile app. This provides a secure and reliable way in which to sign for pick ups from your warehouse.

The rate card by warehouse has fixed a huge issue for us internally, we have warehouses across the country and the cost to maintain vary from city to city, previously our warehouse managers needed to go into the customer settings and change the rate card to their specific region which left us vulnerable to human error leading to mistakes and credits. With the introduction of the ability to assign a rate card to each warehouse a customer is in we have completely eliminated this issue and made the invoicing process much more streamlined.

⚡Zapier Integration Improvements

Exciting news for CartonCloud customers who have integrated with Zapier! We've recently upgraded our CartonCloud x Zapier Connector to offer even more flexibility and automation in your workflows.

Key updates:

Warehouse Selection for Consignment Creation: Now, when creating a consignment via Zapier, you can specify the desired warehouse. This is a game-changer for multi-warehouse customers, enabling seamless automation across your CartonCloud platform.
Delivery or Pickup Options for Sale Orders: When creating an outbound order, you can choose whether it will be delivered to, or picked up by the customer. This added flexibility allows for better shipping planning and ensures that warehouse operators can efficiently process orders.

🤳Upgrading to the Latest App Version

To access these new features, you'll need to update or create a new Zapier integration using our CartonCloud app's latest version. Upon updating, you'll be prompted to upgrade.

📦 Wave Pick Improvements

As we work toward introducing a new Pick to Tote workflow (see the Coming Soon section below), we’re releasing a flurry of improvements to Wave Picks. The first three of these are available now!

Multi-Customer Wave Picks

To make it faster and easier to process Sale Orders, we’ve made it possible to create Wave Picks which span multiple customers’ Sale Orders.

When creating a Wave Pick, you can now select “Multiple Customers” from the Wave Pick Type drop-down, and see orders across all customers, which can then be grouped together into a single wave. Find out more on our Knowledge Base article for Multi-Customer Wave Picks here.

Persisting Wave Picks after Completion

To provide better visibility over historical operations, wave picks are no longer deleted after they have been completed. From the Wave Pick list screen, there are now two tabs, “In Progress” and “Completed”. Completed waves can be opened for viewing. Wave Pick Product Filters

When creating Wave Picks, Sale Orders can now be filtered depending on specific products that they contain. Filtering by product allows the creation of wave picks containing orders that have the same products, maximising picking efficiency.

🔐 Enterprise Security, MFA and SSO

We’ve delivered further enhancements to your log-in security this month, with the release of our new log-in screens enabling the use of Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign On (SSO).

‍What’s changed? Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) increases log-in security for your account users, to enhance your account security and protection. All CartonCloud users can now set up and use MFA through both the web and mobile apps (v6.0.0+) to protect their own accounts. Learn more about our new log-in security here.

Additionally, Enterprise Security (available through Warehouse Premium) provides even more account security by allowing account admins to setup MFA requirements within their account. This includes the ability to enforce Single-Sign On (SSO) or Mandatory MFA for specific user roles, meaning (for example) organisations can require MFA for all administrators, packers, and drivers but leave it optional for customers.

Photos & Documents on Purchase Orders

Coming soon, our Photos and Documents on Purchase Orders feature will allow users on the mobile app and web app to add photos and comments as Purchase Orders are received and verified.

This enables warehouse workers to provide photo (and video) evidence of received goods, highlighting issues such as damages, and selectively share these with customers. This new functionality will be split into two tiers, Essentials (available in all WMS plans), and Advanced (available through Warehouse Premium plans).

Note: All CartonCloud accounts will have access to use the Advanced tier for free till June-30 2025.

Removing support for old Mobile App Versions

Important: As older app versions older than 6.0.0 do not contain support for MFA or SSO, support for them will end after October 31st, 2024.

After Oct 31st, 2024 mobile app versions lower than 6.0.0 will no longer operate and will need to be updated. To ensure you are not impacted by this change, please enable automatic updates for iOS and Android and ensure all of your team updates their apps in use. Wave Pick Improvements & Pick to Tote

We’ll soon be introducing a new type of Wave Pick called “Pick to Tote” (explained below). As we work toward making this available, we’re introducing a number of improvements to Wave Picks. These improvements will be available for use with existing wave pick types (Bulk Pick, Split Pick & Pack and Combined Pick & Pack) as well as the new Pick to Tote wave pick type.

Wave Pick Improvements

To make it faster and easier to process Sale Orders, we’ve released the first three of our Wave Pick Improvements, “Multi-Customer Wave Picks”, “Persisting Wave Picks after Completion” and “Wave Pick Product Filters”, and we have the following additional enhancements coming shortly:

Additional Filters when creating Wave Picks (eg: Specific product SKUs, Product Groups, Delivery Runs, SKU Count, Quantity, etc..)
Wave Pick Templates (similar to Replenishments, create templates of commonly searched filters)
Mobile-based Wave Pick Generation
Automated Wave Pick Generation

Pick to Tote

Pick to Tote is a new type of wave pick which is currently in development. It is a highly efficient way to pick a large number of small orders in which pickers move about the warehouse pushing a trolley which is covered with totes (boxes). This allows pickers to pick multiple orders at the same time, and separate them into individual totes at the time of picking. They can then be brought back to a packing station where each tote (order) can be packed into one or more shippers.

TMS Quotes API

Need to provide quotes to external parties and platforms?

We are excited to announce that CartonCloud users will soon have the ability to use the CartonCloud API to determine freight costs in advance of creating a consignment. This allows external parties to query for freight rates before creating a consignment.

For ease of use, the API structure will be similar to our existing Consignments API.

Item-Level Scanning (TMS)

We’re delighted to announce, Item-Level Scanning is coming to the CartonCloud Transport Management System. It provides greater accuracy throughout the delivery journey. Item-level scanning will allow drivers to scan individual item barcodes at the point of delivery, and allow warehouse staff (and drivers) to scan consignment items on and off vehicles when loading and unloading.
